Why write on Pentecostal theology?

Why write about Pentecostal and Charismatic doctrines or beliefs?
So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don't need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. You don't need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding.
Hebrews 6.1--3
The motivation to write about Pentecostal and Charismatic doctrine came from the desire to fill a void that has arisen from the dearth of elementary to intermediate level writing on subjects that, though foundational to the Christian faith, are often treated in technical theological treatises that are inaccessible to most readers.

Whereas we are made to understand from Hebrews 6.1--3 that certain principles, such as, justification by faith, the doctrines of baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection from the dead, and eternal judgment are rather basic and should be taken for granted for all but new converts, there seems to be a sense these days that one has to go to Bible school to study them. My hope is to present these principles with justifications from the Bible for the benefit of anyone interested in knowing the certainty of their faith.

Instead of toeing the line of the classic texts on systematic theology, we will follow an approach that expounds on the tenets of the Church of Pentecost, the largest Pentecostal/Charismatic church in Ghana and the second largest Christian denomination in Ghana (second to the Roman Catholic Church). This approach will ground us in the principles as they are understood and applied in a practical context. Nevertheless, the treatment of the topics, perhaps with the exception of a few, will match what a large section of Protestants believe.

Each doctrine will be divided into smaller sections with each section having its own post. The discussion of each doctrine will begin with a summary of its importance, followed by an extended discussion, and then by review questions for reflection and reinforcement of the preceding concepts. The answers to the review questions will also be provided.
